The Honest Answer First
If you searched for "vitamin B12 rich dry fruits", here is the truth most lists skip:
- Vitamin B12: no dry fruit or nut contains a meaningful amount. B12 comes from animal foods and fortified foods.
- Vitamin D: dry fruits and nuts have essentially none. Your skin makes it from sunlight.
- Vitamin C: fresh fruits have it, but drying destroys most of it. Raisins have about 2 mg per 100g, compared with about 50 mg in an orange.
We sell dry fruits, and we would still rather tell you this than sell you almonds for a B12 problem.

Where to Get Vitamin B12 (Vegetarian)
B12 deficiency is very common in India, especially among vegetarians. Signs can include tiredness, tingling in hands and feet, and poor concentration, but only a blood test confirms it.
| Source | Notes |
|---|---|
| Milk, curd, paneer | Main source for most vegetarians |
| Eggs | If you eat them |
| Fortified foods | Some cereals and plant milks |
| Supplements | Often needed if levels are low. Take them only on a doctor's advice |
Where to Get Vitamin D
- Sunlight: 15 to 30 minutes of sun on arms and face, several days a week, is the main natural source. Timing and skin tone change how much you make.
- Fortified milk and oils: some brands add it.
- Supplements: very common in India because deficiency is widespread. Check your level first.
ICMR-NIN suggests about 600 IU a day for most adults.

|---|---|
| Fresh amla | One of the richest Indian sources |
| Guava | Very high, cheap in season |
| Lemon, orange, mosambi | Easy daily habit |
| Capsicum, tomato | Good for cooked meals |
A useful trick: eat iron-rich dry fruits like pumpkin seeds or cashews with a vitamin C food. It helps your body absorb the iron.
Why So Many Lists Get This Wrong
Many "B12 dry fruits" articles list almonds, cashews or dates. These are good foods, but they do not carry B12. If you are low, eating more of them will not raise your level, and you lose months thinking the problem is handled.
