How to Use Premium Cashew Nuts
- 1Eat a small handful (15–20 cashews) as a daily snack — they are satisfying, creamy, and packed with nutrients.
- 2Add whole cashews to curries and gravies (like Paneer Butter Masala or Dum Aloo) for a rich, creamy base.
- 3Blend soaked cashews with water to make fresh cashew milk or a dairy-free cream alternative for soups.
- 4Dry roast cashews with a pinch of rock salt, black pepper, and turmeric for a flavourful healthy snack.
- 5Use chopped cashews as a topping for kheer, halwa, biryani, or desserts for texture and richness.
Storage Tips
- Store cashews in an airtight container in a cool, dry place — they stay fresh for 2–3 months at room temperature.
- Refrigerate in a sealed bag to extend freshness to 6 months, especially in humid climates.
- Do not freeze cashews repeatedly — repeated thawing causes them to become soft and lose their natural texture.
- Keep away from moisture at all times — even a small amount of moisture can make cashews turn rancid quickly.
- Buy in pack sizes you will consume within 3 months for the best flavour and texture.
Quick Answers — Premium Cashew Nuts
How many cashews should you eat daily?
A daily serving of 15–18 cashews (about 28g) gives you approximately 155 calories, 5g protein, 1g fibre and a meaningful dose of magnesium, iron and zinc. Research shows cashews do not cause weight gain when eaten in this portion — the body absorbs only about 84% of the calories.
Frequently Asked Questions about Premium Cashew Nuts
What does W240 grade mean for cashews?
W240 means 240 whole cashew kernels per pound (453g) — meaning bigger, heavier kernels. It is the second-largest standard international grade, a premium tier above the more common W320 (320 kernels/pound). W240 cashews are meatier, creamier and command a price premium — they are the grade hotels and Indian wedding caterers prefer.
Are these W240 cashews bleached or chemically whitened?
No. Our W240 cashews have a natural ivory-cream colour, which is the true appearance of a high-quality cashew kernel. If you see uniformly bright-white cashews elsewhere, they have usually been treated with hydrogen peroxide or sulphur to mask poor quality. Our cashews are only dry-roasted for shell removal, nothing more.
Where are these cashews grown and processed?
Our cashews come from the Konkan coast (Maharashtra and Goa) and Kollam region of Kerala — India's oldest cashew-growing belts. They are hand-shelled in small factories that we visit regularly, sorted by grade, vacuum-packed to prevent oxidation, and shipped to our Delhi facility for final FSSAI-certified packing.
How many cashews should I eat per day for weight management?
A daily serving of 15–18 cashews (about 28g) gives you approximately 155 calories, 5g protein, 1g fibre and a meaningful dose of magnesium, iron and zinc. Research shows cashews do not cause weight gain when eaten in this portion — the body absorbs only about 84% of the calories.
Can I use these cashews to make curry or cashew paste?
Yes, W240 cashews are ideal for making curry gravies, kaju katli, cashew cream and cashew paste. Soak 20–25 cashews in warm water for 2 hours, then blend with a little water to a smooth paste — it becomes the base for paneer butter masala, shahi paneer, and dairy-free cream.
